Autumn and Melissa curated there second yoga retreat at Villa Sumaya Atitlan. Joining us for our 8-Day Chakra & Reiki Retreat on stunning Lake Atitlan in Guatemala, from November 29th to December 6th, 2025!

Travel Information & Suggestions:
We recommend arriving in Guatemala City no later than 12pm on Saturday, November 29th. This is important as we need to be on the road to the retreat center by 2pm.
If you arrive later, Villa Sumaya suggests arriving the day before and staying in either Guatemala City or Antigua. Some suggested hotels include:
Barceló: Luxury, central location, our favorite!
Hotel Tikal Futura: Free shuttle, great breakfast, and spa.
Best Western Stofella: Nice rooms and breakfast.
Budget Option: Quetzalroo Hostel (Mel knows the owner, the bike tour is highly recommended!)
For booking your flights, we suggest tracking fares on Hopper to get the best deal. If you’d like to arrive early and spend an extra night at Villa Sumaya, you can inquire directly with the: reservations@villasumaya.com.
How to Book Your Spot:
To secure your place, a non-refundable deposit of $750.00 is required. All payments are non-refundable, and we strongly recommend travel insurance.

Looking to the future
When Melissa was young she took trips to Puerto Rico, reconnect to her maternal side of the family. These visits opened her up to see colonization and work on ancestry trauma. Visiting Puerto Rico keeps her connected to her ancestors and culture that have been lost. She hopes to permanently stay and create a space for education and holistic healing. Ways to support Melissa are booking her for services, taking her classes or donations.
